Ownership of the 2500 hectare estate is vested in Mbuluzi Game Reserve (Pty) Limited which will have a maximum of forty-nine shareholders. Each shareholder has the right to build a dwelling of his choice (subject to certain minimum standards) on one of the 49 designated sites.
Mbuluzi Game Reserve (Pty) Ltd owns approximately 860 hectares and has a 99-year lease over an adjoining
1,480 hectares of land. All the land has been game-fenced and is run as Game Reserve forming part of the greater Lubombo Conservancy of 60,000 hectares. The Lubombo Conservancy in turn forms part of the Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area encompassing an area of 4,195 square kilometers and extending into South Africa and Mozambique.
Almost all the sites have river frontage and have been laid out to give ample “elbow room” and privacy to each of the lodges. All sites are serviced with water and electricity supplied by underground pipe and cable.
A major advantage of Mbuluzi is that the Reserve is managed by Tambankulu Estates, which borders the Reserve. The infrastructure set up for this Sugar Estate (which together with Mbuluzi Game Reserve has been associated with the Hersov family for more than 40 years) is available to Mbuluzi shareholders and their guests. Services include:
-
Transport from Manzini, Nelspruit or Komatipoort airports.
-
Use of Tambankulu Estates’ registered airfield.
-
Vehicle service, maintenance, refueling and delivery.
-
A lodge sweep, laundry and electricity switch on/off service.
